Group AOA Confirms Attendance For Japan 'A-Nation' Concert As The K-Pop Girl Group Representatives

AOA confirmed their attendance at the "2014 A-Nation-Asia Progress, Departure" concert, which is scheduled to be held on August 17.

"A-Nation" is one of biggest summer festivals in Japan, bringing in 700,000 fans every year. The event was created by the Japanese label, AVEX, back in 2002.

AOA will be attending the highly-anticipated event as Korea's girl group representatives and are set to perform on the same stage along with other great Japanese artists. The seven-member girl group has yet to officially debut in Japan yet, so the upcoming event is expected to be their break into the Japanese music industry.

The idol group has been busy promoting their new song "Short Hair," which was released along with a music video on June 19.

The video has gone viral since its release, primarily due to the girls' easy-to-follow dance moves.

Specific choreography have been given their own names, such as "cat dance," "short-hair dance" and "game dance," according to Koreabizwire.

The ladies of AOA have continued to make an impression on fans and media outlets in China. News of their comeback with their track "Short Hair" was seen on the main page of Tencent, the largest Internet portal in China.

AOA officially became mainstream artists in China with the release of "Short Skirt" last January, which ranked No. 1 on the Chinese music chart KUWO.

"Short Hair" also made it to the top 20 on Korea's official Gaon chart, ranking at No. 14 in late June, according to the publication Popdust.

AOA recently celebrated a milestone in their careers, posting a picture of themselves marking the 700th day since their debut yesterday.

"Hello, I am Yuna. Do you know what day it is today? It is the 700th day since we debuted. Thanks to our fans who have been along there for us," fellow AOA member tweeted along with the picture of the girls.
