Amidst the rumors of their engagement and buying a London mansion, Nico Jackson and Pippa Middleton are splitting up! Geographically, that is. Pippa Middleton's boyfriend Nico Jackson just accepted a job at a Swiss hedge fund and will leave the UK to start a new phase in his career in Switzerland. Will they commit to a long-distant relationship or call it quits?

Nico Jackson and Pippa Middleton engagement rumors have been running rampant as close in on two years of dating. They were also considering buying property in a swanky part of London. Looks like they won't be moving in together any time soon.

An insider at Deutsche Bank told the Independent that the 35-year-old beau of Duchess of Cambridge's younger sis is moving onto Jabre Capital as an "investment manager".

That explains why Nico Jackson was hardly ever seen at the Wimbledon Championships this year! He was busy prepping his move to Switzerland and possibly schmoozing up his contacts in the landlocked country.  

Jabre Capital, a "$2 billion (£1.6 billion) hedge fund", was founded by Beirut-born businessman Philippe Jabre, according to the Independent.

But upon closer examination, Nico Jackson may have gotten his new job through his royal connections. One of the founding partners of Jabre Capital, Mark Cecil, is a close friend of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. They have been reported to vacation often together.

Pippa and Nico were even seen at an opening of a club that the Cecils invested in.

At least Pippa Middleton saw this coming.
