Javier Mascherano Tears Anus For Argentina: Defender Gives His All In Argentina vs. Netherlands Semi Final To Send Team To Brazil World Cup 2014 Final

They should knight Javier Mascherano because he just may be the most dedicated defender on the Argentine World Cup team. In the semifinal game against the Netherlands, not only did Javier Mascherano almost get concussed after colliding with a Dutch midfielder, but he also tore his anus in his concerted efforts to block Robben in the last minutes of the semifinal.

When questioned why he was in so much pain after his tackle to stop Robben, Javier Mascherano told the press "I spread out my anus in that last tackle, that's why I felt so much pain".

Sounds like Javier Mascherano isn't perfect at describing his injury in English.

That wasn't Argentine defender's only injury accrued during Argentina vs. Netherlands semifinal game. Earlier in the game, he suffered a collision with Dutch midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum and "slumped to the ground" according to Yahoo Sports. He soon stood up looking dazed, holding his forehead in pain. But only minute after, he was back on the field.

Whether Javier Mascherano will play for the final against Germany is unclear. The defender insists that he is fit to play.

"They will tell me if everything is OK," Mascherano said. "I am sure I am OK. I am fine. It is good. I could feel it during the match, a little bit. I had a bit of a headache but now it is good."

But he didn't speak to how his torn anus is doing.

"I tore the anus.... I don't want to sound crude... Robben game me an opportunity when he took a touch; he lost a second and I won. What I did anyone could have done. To be in the final you need a bit of luck."

A bit of luck and a bit of stretching it seems like!

Tune into Brazil World Cup 2014 final game to see if Javier Mascherano will be given a green light to play for Argentina.
