Big Bang's Taeyang And 2NE1's Dara Of YG Entertainment Discuss Past Relationships

Record label YG Entertainment is famous for enforcing dating bans on their artists, but Big Bang's Taeyang and 2NE1's Dara shared some of their experiences in recent interviews.

According to a recent interview in Manila's Meg Magazine, Dara's dating ban was lifted three years after 2NE1's debut, but the singer remained uncertain about her interest in a boyfriend.

"I want to have a love life in the future," said Dara according to translations by YGLadies. "But as of now, I'm not that interested in having a boyfriend because I'm enjoying what I'm doing."

During the interview, Dara also picked the song "Good To You" off of 2NE1's latest album as the song she related to the most.

"I can really relate to this song because it's about a good girl singing to a bad boy," said the 29-year-old YG artist. "It's always been like that for me, falling in love with the bad boys. That's why I can relate."

Dara's labelmate Taeyang of Big Bang also recently released his solo album "Rise," and now fans know that the track "Eyes, Nose, Lips" is actually inspired by a real-life girlfriend.

During filming for the talk show "Yoo Hee Yeol's Sketchbook," the host asked Taeyang if he's had a girlfriend since his last appearance on the show.

"We're broken up now," revealed Taeyang according to allkpop. "The relationship I had and the separation inspired the lyrics about longing for a past love I wrote for 'Eyes, Nose, Lips.'"

"So I guess it's the reason he's so emotional singing this song," commented xxiroo on allkpop. "And even in all the performances you can really feel his longing and sadness."

"I bet that when YG is training the trainees he gives formal training on how to date like a ninja," wrote Jesuisyaya on July 12.
