INFINITE Will 'Be Back' July 22 With Bad Boy Concept For 'Season 2' Album Repackage

INFINITE will be making a comeback shortly with "Back," and will be doing so with quite a concept change.

The idol group recently made a comeback with the album "Season 2" and the song "Last Romeo," an '80's inspired love song. INFINITE is now ready to release the repackaged album, "Be Back," and has released several teasers that show an entirely different concept for the group.

The concept for "Last Romeo" was that of lovers begging to be taken back, and INFINITE promoted the song in outfits that that made them appear both fashionable and romantic. The group wore clean-cut items like blazers, suits, and dress shirts.

However, the teaser video for the group's upcoming song "Back" shows the members not only wearing biker jackets and looking decidedly ragged, they in fact look like a bunch of Hell's Angels. The members are covered in battle marks, are wearing chains, and sport elaborate hairstyles with criss-cross patterns in them. The look can only be defined as "edgy."

The members are also seen sitting on motorcycles and cars, and involved in fights; Sungyeol is seen holding a metal bat, while Sungjong uses an umbrella to attack at the very end of the video.

Whereas "Last Romeo" was a synth-pop-rock hybrid song, "Be Back" revealed in the teaser video that there will be instrumental sounds and, based on Sungkyu's single line in the teaser video, have powerful, clean vocals to express the emotion of the song.

Woohyun and Sungyeol are currently acting in the drama High School Love On, and the group is in the midst of preparations for its summer concert, so fans were not expecting a comeback so quickly. However, INFINITE has worked hard to prepare "Be Back" for fans.

Many idol groups have promoted with authoritative images lately, ever since rookie groups like B.A.P and BTS made an impact because they dropped the flower-boy concept.

This darker, powerful image is not an entirely new concept for INFINITE- the group shot to fame because of its intense concept and dance from "Before The Dawn." That video also featured the members in a dark situation and fighting.

However, the concept for "Back" seems to position INFINITE as bad boys who need to be saved by nobody but the person that they love, based on the lyrics "Can you save me?"

INFINITE's song "Back" and the "Be Back" repackaged album will be released on July 22.
