Singer Younha To Release New Album In Japan This September

Korean singer Younha will be making her comeback in two years this fall.

The artist announced that she will be releasing a new album in Japan on September 10.

Her upcoming album will feature the Japanese versions of tracks that she had previously released in Korea. It will also include the bonus track, "You Who Came From The Stars," which was featured on the "My Love From The Star" soundtrack.

"Younha is preparing for her promotions in the latter-half of this year. As much as she meticulously recorded her Japanese album for a long time, it is expected to be a gift to fans in Japan. Younha is also planning to release an album in Korea later this year as well so we ask for your anticipation and support," stated her agency, Wealive, according to Allkpop.

Younha, who debuted in Japan back in 2004, will also be celebrating the 10-year anniversary since her breakthrough into the music scene this year as well.

The singer-songwriter is currently juggling the preparation of her new album along with her role as a DJ for MBC radio.

Although Younha hasn't made new material for the past couple years, the pop sensation has still somehow managed to top music charts. She recently released a remake of Epik High's "Umbrella," which featured Younha when it was first released in 2008, and successfully grasped the hearts of fans once again.

Epik High member Tablo reportedly gifted the ballad version of "Umbrella" to celebrate Younha's upcoming 10-year-anniversary.

Younha's version of "Umbrella" has followed the success of the original song. The track ranked No. 1 on eight real-time charts, including MelOn, Genie, Olleh Music, Soribada, Bugs, Money3, Mnet and Naver Music for two days in a row.

The singer shocked fans back in 2012 when she revealed that she suffered from a panic disorder for about a year and a half when she was on hiatus. After news of her condition surfaced, Younha assured fans that she has fully bounced back, evident from the singer's upcoming comeback.

"I'm sorry for causing worries during that time and from now on, I will work hard to show myself living well. Not caring about the popularity rank, to everyone who lives me, I want to give them faith that I could be a Younha they can be proud of," stated Younha in a message to fans.
