Korean News Outlet Highlights LUNARSOLAR, StayC, and Weeekly as '4th-Gen Rising Powerhouses of K-pop'

Who are the emerging powerhouses of fourth-gen K-pop? Rookie K-pop girl groups, including LUNARSOLAR, Weeekly, and STAYC, were cited by a leading Korean news outlet.

In an article released by Korean media E-Daily, K-pop girl groups such as LUNARSOLAR, Weekly, and STAYC are deemed as emerging "fourth-generation idol powerhouses."

The outlet emphasized the rising recognition that the three groups were gaining due to their strong musical characteristics and impressive skills amidst the intense competition in the music industry.

LUNARSOLAR Made Frenzy in the K-pop scene with their Strong Vocals

Among numerous dance female groups, LUNARSOLAR captured the interests of K-pop enthusiasts with their strong vocals and group harmony, particularly when they appeared in KBS2's "Yoo Hee Yeol's Sketchbook."

Despite debuting only in September 2020 under JPlanet, the quartet consistently proved their potential with their first single album, "SOLAR: Flare," along with its title track, "Oh Ya Ya Ya," which marked their birth as a vocal-based group.

This upcoming April 7, LUNARSOLAR will be setting the stage on fire again as they stamped their growth with their second release, "LUNARSOLAR: Rise."

The album's title track, "DADADA," is expected to flaunt their vocal improvements while they shower K-pop fans with pleasant energy, especially to those who want healing after a tiring and exhausting day.

Additionally, Eseo, the leader of the group, reportedly participated in one of their tracks, showing off her music capabilities.

 In particular, the leader is said to have participated in writing the lyrics of the track "Ronnie" and showed off his musical ability by increasing the completeness of the song.

Weeekly Referred to as "Fourth-Gen Girl Group Leader"

Following the footsteps of their sister group APINK, Weeekly, who debuted in PlayM Entertainment, seems to be carving their own path these days.

In March, the seven-member group previously kicked off with their third mini-album, "We Play," breaking their personal record after achieving 19,000 initial sales (a week-long album sales).

 Compared to their last release, "We Can," the company recorded 45 percent growth in sales, not to mention that the group's lead single, "After School" MV also attracted 15 million views, in just five days after its release--- proving their impact.

STAYC Continuous Rise as K-pop's "Power Center, Vocals and Performing" Group

Lastly, STAYC, a six-member group produced by High Up Entertainment along with Black-Eyed Pilseung, solidified their name as emerging 4th-gen idols with their first single album, "Star to a Young Culture."

The members who caught K-pop enthusiasts with their visuals, vocals, and dancing skills were immediately considered as a"Monster Rookie" for their album sales and rookie awards.

On April 8, STAYC will show off their superior visuals and solid live performances again as they prepare for their comeback with their lead single, "ASAP."

STAYC members expressed their determination then, saying, "We will show you a more powerful teen-fresh and confident performance based on high-teen and kitsch in our freedom."
