Taeyang's Brother Dong Hyun Bae Signs Contract With MGB Entertainment

Following the success of Taeyang and his recent solo album "Rise," the Big Bang member's brother is officially beginning to make his mark in the entertainment industry.

MGB Entertainment announced that they just signed an exclusive contract with the K-pop sensation's brother, Dong Hyun Bae.

"Dong Hyun Bae is passionate for acting and has unlimited potential and talent. He is also very committed and responsible. We will not hold back on our support of Dong Hyun Bae, who has already developed his talents through plays and musicals," stated the MGB Entertainment staff.

The representative for the entertainment company added, "Dong Hyun Bae has huge potential. His passion and effort are second to none."

Dong Hyun Bae got his first taste of mainstream success through channel tvN's "Flower Boy Casting, Oh! Boy."

He officially made his debut in the acting world back in 2006 with his role in the movie "Ordinary Propose." He was also cast in "She's On Duty," "Classmate," "Princess Han," "Holy Land" and "Shut Up Flower Boy Band."

His credits go beyond the small and big screen. Dong was also cast in the play "Scent of Love" as well as the musical "Grease," according to Yahoo Entertainment Singapore.

In 2012, Taeyang's older brother was confirmed to join the cast of the new film, "Alumnus," acting alongside Big Bang's T.O.P and actress Han Yae Ri.

Filming with his fellow idol member's older brother turned out to be a great experience for T.O.P., who shared his thoughts during a press conference in 2013.

"In regards to Dong Hyun Bae, he is, as you said, Taeyang's older brother and I knew that. To my knowledge, he has been in productions for a long time. . . We coincidentally got to work together. Whenever we filmed, I enjoyed it because he was like a brother to me," explained T.O.P., according to Allkpop.
