SM Entertainment has released their official statement regarding f(x) Sulli and her absence from comeback promotions. Sulli has chosen to remain absent from promotions for an undetermined length of time.

On July 25, SM Entertainment issued an official response to public curiosity regarding Sulli by stating, “f(x) Sul li is currently suffering from ongoing negative comments and false rumors.” Previously, fans were provided with the explanation that Sulli was dealing with the symptoms of the common cold which prevented the idol from performing on "M! Countdown." 

Due to her distress from recent rumors, SM representatives added that Sulli “wants to take a break from her promotions for a while.”

SM Entertainment officials met to discuss the matter surrounding Sulli and her current state. The agency “decided to minimize her activities and let her take a break.”

Rumors started to run rampant this week as fans began to note the very obvious absence of f(x) member Sulli from “Red Light” promotions.

Sulli was the focus of a series of vicious online rumors which led SM Entertainment to begin legal action. In April 2014, SM Entertainment began to seek out the perpetrators of the rumors to have legal action taken.

The rumors began when Sulli was hospitalized on March 28 for a stomachache.

In June 2014, SM Entertainment announced that he person who was initially responsible for spreading rumors about Sulli had been identified, but she decided to have defamation charges against the individual dropped.

SM also substantiated claims from earlier in the week that the appearance of f(x) on last week’s “Inkigayo” would be their final promotional appearance for “Red Light.”

Meanwhile, f(x) members Amber, Luna, Krystal, and Victoria will continue their individual activities and will appear as a four member group for the upcoming Seoul performance of SM TOWN.

Fans are now left to wonder if this is the beginning of the end for f(x).
