Big Bang Taeyang-Daesung Appear Together On Japan NHK 'Music Japan'

Big Bang's Taeyang and Daesung made their first appearance as a duo.

The idol members, who have both been making headlines with the success of their recent solo ventures, are gaining media attention for their appearance on the Japanese variety show, "Music Japan."

"This show was recorded at the Tokyo NHK Hall with 3,000 fans. Out of the 10 or so teams that performed that day, Taeyang and Daesung received the most applause and shouts. During the talk session with the MC, the crowd was so loud that they had to abruptly end the talk as well," stated YG Entertainment.

Taeyang and Daesung's episode will air on September 8. In lieu of their recent TV appearance, both singers are continuing to dominate music charts with their solo albums.

Daesung made one of the biggest accomplishments in his career as of yet by ranking No. 1 on the Oricon Album Chart. His album "D'Slove" sole 30,009 copies on the first day of its release, according to the Korea Herald.

Daesung was also recognized for bringing in more than 100,000 fans in the course of his solo concerts in Japan. The singer has made a name for himself outside of Big Bang by contributing to the writing and producing process of his latest album.

Taeyang has been enjoying musical success alongside his fellow group member as well. The "Rise" hitmaker has been positively accepted internationally, topping global music charts.

The 25-year-old even ranked No. 112 on the Billboard 200, setting the record as a Korean solo act, according to Billboard.

However, despite the success of "Rise," Taeyang surprisingly told the music magazine that he's not completely happy with certain aspects of his album.

"As a musician, there are certain artistic qualities from this album that I'm unsatisfied with, but I am extremely thankful and grounded that people like it - especially because it's an album that holds my emotions, memories and musical values that I have felt and gained in the last four years while working on it," explained the "Eyes, Nose, Lips" singer.
