The classic Big Bang song “Lies” was selected by fans as the Favorite Song Of 2004-2014 for the “M! Countdown” ten year anniversary special. “Lies” was chosen from a selection of eleven songs which included four popular Big Bang songs (Haru Haru, Fantastic Baby, Tonight, Lies) and contributions from four contributions from projects by Big Bang members (High High, Eyes, Nose, Lips, Crooked, Heartbreaker).

“Haru Haru,” “Fantastic Baby,” and “Tonight” are other songs which are undoubtedly representative of Big Bang and the evolution of the musical personas. However, the selection of “Lies” as the Favorite Song of 2004-2014 is appropriate due to the fact that it was the first major hit for Big Bang.

B1A4 delivered a stellar performance of “Lies” for the “M! Countdown” special. Their performance demonstrated the influence of Big Bang on modern K-Pop male groups. Big Bang continues to grow in success, as a group and individually. Big Bang debuted on August 19, 2006 at the ten year anniversary concert of YG Family.

“Lies” was not the debut track for Big Bang, but the track is considered their breakout hit. “Lies” was the lead single from their first extended play album “Always.”

G-Dragon was credited as the lyricist for three out of the six tracks, which showcased his strong production skills.

The group introduced themselves to K-Pop with tracks like “We Belong Together” and “A Fool’s Only Tears.” However, the quintessential sound of Big Bang was established with “Lies.”

Big Bang is the rare example of a group whose popularity continues to grow, over time.

Interest in the group continues to increase, as Big Bang prepares for their 2014 comeback. American heiress Paris Hilton recently named G-Dragon as her favorite K-Pop performer and Big Bang continue to receive attention from international audiences.
