Singer IU To Be The First Female Guest On Yoo Jae Suk's 'I'm a Man'

IU, who debuted as a teenager back in 2008, has become known for being Korea's "little sister" throughout the course of her career.

The 21-year-old singer will be presenting fans with her signature, adorable image as the first female guest on comedian Yoo Jae Suk's KBS talk show "I'm a Man," which will officially begin its run next month.

The young K-pop star was included in a segment called "The Only Man in a Woman's World." KBS plans to air 20 episodes of "I'm A Man" per season.

The show, which features guest hosts Lim Won Hee, Kwon Oh Joong, Huh Kyung Hwan, has already gained quite a bit of interest from anticipated viewers and local media after the pilot was aired back in April.

IU's episode on "I'm A Man" will air on August 8, 2014.

The pop sensation recently made music chart history with her recent collaboration with boy band High4, titled "Not Spring, Love or Cherry Blossoms," according to Billboard.

IU now has more top ranking songs on the K-pop chart with her tracks "You and I," "Every End of the Day," "The Red Shoes" and "Friday" all ranking No. 1 after their release.

Despite being a solo act, the Korean starlet has beat out popular K-pop acts including Akdong Musician, SISTAR and Busker Busker, according the music magazine.

Despite the continuous success and attention that IU has been receiving for her addictive music and effervescent singing voice, the singer recently revealed that she had once battled bulimia on the Korean talk show "Healing Camp," according to the Korea Herald.

IU, who has now fully recovered, reportedly stated that she remembers always feeling "nervous" and "empty-minded" during that difficult time period in her life.

"I tried to fill my empty mind with foods. I ate to the point of vomiting, so I received treatment," stated the singer-songwriter.
