Nick Kyrgios Asks Roger Federer To A Match At Australian Open 2015: Grand Slam Champion Gives Aussie Player Cold Shoulder On #AskRF Twitter Q And A

Roger Federer gave Nick Kyrgios a cold shoulder on Twitter when the young Aussie Player asked him for the annual benefit game for ‘A Night with Roger and Friends’ right before the start of Australian Open 2015. Nick Kyrgios, emboldened by his win over Rafael Nadal at Wimbledon 2014, decided to challenge the all-time Grand Slam champion to a game, but didn’t get a response from the Swiss champion.

Roger Federer, to celebrate reaching 2 million followers on Twitter, launched a little #AskRF Q and A (which seems to be all the rage among tennis players). It was so popular that Twitter had problem loading all the tweets directed at @rogerfederer.

“Sorry for the slow responses. Twitter is crashing all of my devices. #AskRF #Doesn’tMatter #We’llBattleThroughIt #Hopefully,” he wrote as he tried to get the situation under control.

Amidst all this technical difficulties, Nick Kyrgios decided to throw in a question as well.

This would be a great exposure for the young Aussie player. Not only will he be playing on home soil right before Australian Open 2015, he will also be able to play against the Grand Slam champion and his childhood tennis hero.

Roger Federer crushed the young player’s dreams by giving him the cold shoulder to Nick’s tweet. It looks like Roger Federer didn’t care enough about Nick Kyrgios to respond to his #AskRF Twitter question.

But Roger Federer was pretty selective about the questions that he answered on his #AskRF Twitter Q and A so Nick shouldn’t feel too bad.

Nick Kyrgios, a wild card selection for the Rogers Cup in Toronto, is busy preparing the tournament starting August 2.
