Dakota Johnson Career Makeover Post ‘Fifty Shades Of Grey’ Includes New Boyfriend Matthew Hitt, Serious Film Deals And No Rehab

Dakota Johnson is now trying to clean up her ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ reputation by getting a solid serious film ‘A Bigger Splash’. Her career makeover plan also seems to have included making it public with her new boyfriend Matthew Hitt, cutting off ties with Jordan Masterson and definitely not going back to rehab.

‘A Bigger Splash’, set to star Tilda Swinton, Ralph Fiennes and Dakota Johnson, by Luca Guadagnino should help the ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ star clean up her act. ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ won’t be due in the cinema until next February so she has plenty of time to get herself attached to more reputable movies.

Dakota Johnson will be playing the role that Jane Birkin originated in the 1969 French drama ‘La Piscine’, which is the basis of Luca Guadagnino’s ‘A Bigger Splash’.

According to Variety, ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ actress “had several offers for bigger films, but decided to stick with dramas in order to work with more well-respected directors”.

We are sure that after ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’, any other movie will seem classier.

Dakota Johnson, 24, also just wrapped up the filming for ‘Black Mass’ opposite Johnny Depp. The Whitey Bulger feature is “slated for a fall 2015 release, lining it up for an award season run”, according to Variety.

Becoming a more serious actress means that Dakota Johnson needed to revamp her personal and dating life too. She recently ditched her long-time boyfriend Jordan Masterson, a not-so-successful actor, for a younger model-singer Matthew Hitt.

The actress has a history of rehab, but she is looking to stay out of trouble.

Dakota is taking up serious acting projects as fast as she can, fearing that she will forever be linked to ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’.

Seeing how ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ is now the highest viewed trailer of 2014, the second-generation Golden Globes Hollywood baby will probably have a hard time renewing her reputation.

And 'Fifty Shades of Grey' is a trilogy, so this career blessing/curse will be following her for a long time to come.

Do you think Dakota Johnson will be viewed as a series actress after ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’? Was choosing to star in the film a bad career decision on the actress’ part? Let me know in the comments below!
