Malia Obama Kicks Girl At Lollapalooza 2014: Barack’s Daughter Appear On Twitter, Shows Off Festival Style In Chicago

Malia Obama, 16, not only had a whale of a time at Chicago’s Lollapalooza 2014, but she happened to kick a girl. And she liked it. She also took selfies with other festival goers, despite the disapproving looks from the Secret Service, who got free rides to Lollapalooza thanks to Malia Obama. Seeing how sisters go, Sasha must have thrown a fit that she wasn’t allowed to go.

Malia Obama returned to her old stomping grounds after almost seven years of living in Washington D.C. to attend the world-famous music festival Lollapalooza. Chicago Tribune interviewed a girl that stood just feet away from Barack Obama’s eldest daughter.

Meghan Lomas from Indiana, who was at Chance the Rapper’s concert at the same time as malia, said, “I was in awe of her, and I was just staring at her for a while. I freaked out and I waved at her and said, ‘Hi,’ and she waved and said, ‘Hi.’ That was really cool. She seemed really nice and polite and stuff.”

Fangirling ensued at the concert as more and more people realized that they were in the presence of American royalty.

“After one festival-goer shouted, “Obama’s daughter is here,” lots of people tried to get a glimpse,” added Lomas.

One Lollapalooza goer, who wasn’t afraid of the Secret Service, bravely took a commemorative selfie with the POTUS’ daughter.

Malia decided to amp up her festival style by wearing a sunflower-patterned dress sans floral headband. At least she kept her style real!

But not all interactions with Malia was fun and games. According to Bridget Truskey, a Twitter user, Malia kicked (accidentally we hope) her at the music festival.

I got (accidentally) kicked by Malia Obama today at Lollapalooza. No lie. Malia. Obama. It was awesome. #lollapalooza

Let’s just hope that Sasha Obama isn’t too bummed by the fact that she couldn’t go.
