SPICA Hits The Ground Running With US Debut 'I Did It' And Promo Tour

K-Pop group SPICA joins the ranks of the few elite Korean celebs who have launched careers in the US.

Billboard Magazine featured SPICA's first US single "I Did It" as part of the K-Pop girl group's US promo tour on August 7.

Stateside promotions for the group began on August 6 with an exclusive music industry listening party at Los Angeles's On the Rox lounge. The promo tour continues until August 12 and will have the five-member group performing at three of LA's hottest nightclubs - Greystone Manor, Rage, and Feria - in addition to a high-profile appearance at this weekend's KCON 2014.

The girls (Boa, Bohyung, Juhyun, Narae, and Jiwon) will be performing on August 10 as part of the two-night concert component of KCON 2014, North America's largest Korean pop culture convention. They will perform alongside fellow K-Pop sensations Girls' Generation and G-Dragon.

"We're looking forward to having a good time with our American fans. We hope that everyone enjoys our new English single and album," stated member Boa.

The idol member added, "All the girls had a lot of fun recording the song and making the video and we hope everyone dances along with us when we perform it at KCON this week!"

SPICA debuted back in 2012 after each of the members found success in solo musical endeavors. After honing their already impeccable vocal talents and impressive list of individual achievements, while under the tutelage of legendary K-Pop diva Lee Hyori, the group has released four singles, two EPs, and a repackaged album all to critical acclaim back home.

"I Did It" was produced by Oliver 'Oligee' Goldstein, Cory Enemy, and Daniel Merlot and is described as a "Top 40 girl power anthem." SPICA also released a fun and sassy music video to accompany their US debut.

SPICA's US debut single "I Did It" is now available for download on iTunes. For more information about SPICA and their US debut, visit their official website.

Although SPICA is now the perfect idol group, there was a time when member Kim Bo Hyung was thinking about joining popular K-pop group 2NE1. However, Kim stated that she has no regrets debuting with her fellow group members.

"I learned a lot from YG Entertainment. They taught me everything from A-Z. When I look at past videos of myself as a YG trainee, I can see where I was lacking. I want to develop those areas and become a more mature musician as a member of SPICA," stated Kim during an interview with SportsKorea.
