Pippa Middleton, amidst all her boyfriend Nico Jackson engagement rumors, has been beefing up for Race Across America and Cowes Week. Kate Middleton’s sister also revealed her diet and exercise tips to get in tip-top shape for these competitions. Maybe this is all an elaborate disguise for getting into shape for her wedding dress. Either way, her boyfriend Nico Jackson should be very appreciative of his potential finacée.
The maid of honor of Kate Middleton has been participated in all sorts of sporty events. This past June, she took part in Race Across America, in which she biked from California to Maryland, a total of about 3,000 miles, with her brother James Middleton. Instead of taking time off to ponder about what kind of engagement ring she should pick out or dreaming about decorating her Parsons Green mansion with Nick Jackson, she decided to enroll in another intense sporting activity to raise money for charity. And to work off some fat for her wedding dress. Potentially.
USA Today reports that Pippa Middleton is “a star at posh Cowes Week (now with Aberdeen Asset Management added to its name) annual regatta, one of the oldest and largest sailing regattas in the world and a longtime favorite of yacht-loving British royals.
“At one point, she even took the wheel of the yacht, smiling broadly as the wind whipped her hair.”
Her boyfriend Nico Jackson unfortunately couldn’t help her navigate the rough waters. He recently accepted a job offer in Geneva and uprooted his life with Pippa in London for a new business venture.
Pippa Middleton likes to take charge of her own diet and exercise during these active times. She recently shared her diet tips for her swimming race in Istanbul.
"To maintain energy I try to eat more protein, particularly fish or chicken,” Kate Middleton’s sister said, “A lot of people swear by carb-loading in the run-up to an event but it doesn't really work for me, so I just up my protein intake. Nothing could have prepared me for the experience of the race itself in Istanbul...The swim requires not only speed and athleticism but also the nous to navigate yourself on the right course."
She also shared her favorite recipe for a full English frittata, which includes bacon, Portobello mushrooms and cheddar. Yum, though that doesn’t include all that much protein.
