A new Chinese movie, titled Xiao You Qiao Mu, will star Korean actor Joo Won, but it is two other actors in the movie that have made headlines. Two of SM Entertainment's former members, Han Geng (formerly of Super Junior) and Wu Yifan (formerly Kris of EXO) will also appear in the Korea-Chinese collaboration film.

The two celebrities were members of two of SM Entertainment's most popular boy bands before each one withdrew from their groups. Han Geng left Super Junior in 2009, while Kris withdrew from EXO only a few months ago.

Korean netizens who saw the article about the two working together were not exactly polite about their feelings. The word "traitor" was brandied about, including comments like "Meant for each other, have a happy life you traitors ^^," and "The title can be... 'Traitors.'"

Comments also revolved around how the two seemed to show no shame over the fact that they both left the same company on bad terms, and how SM Entertainment must feel used for training two celebrities who left the company.

People also left comments wishing for the movie to fail.

Anger at Han Geng has died down in recent years, and Super Junior's members have even run into him within the past year (both Siwon and Heechul have interacted with Han Geng at different events.) However, by being associated with Kris, who has been perceived as being ungrateful to SM Entertainment and leaving EXO during a difficult time, Han Geng seems to be losing grace once again.

Loyalty is very important in Eastern cultures, and while Han Geng was the victim of SM Entertainment's contract issues, Kris withdrew from EXO and immediately began working in China, making him look ungrateful for becoming popular as a member of SM Entertainment's "trend" group.

The fact that netizens came out so vehemently points to the fact that Kris and Han Geng, while in different situations, are now seen as being similar by Korean audiences. While both Wu Yifan/Kris and Han Geng may be achieve success in China, Korean fans still are upset by the situation.
