The much anticipated Celine Dion concert will be put on hold because of health problems and family reasons.

The 46 year old said on her website that she cancelled all upcoming concerts to focus on her family, specially with her husband and their children.

The Celine Dion concert and other show business commitments was put on hold to support her husband Rene Angelil, who battles cancer.

Dion's manager-husband Angelil had surgery to remove a cancerous tumour last December. The singer has also been fighting an illness that has caused an inflammation in her throat muscles, and has not been able to perform any of her shows in Las Vegas since her last concert on July 29^th.

The couple is in a very difficult time and stressful situation as they deal with the daily challenges of fighting cancer, raising their children and the hectic schedules in show business.

"I want to devote every ounce of my strength and energy to my husband's healing, and to do so, it's important for me to dedicate this time to him and to our children," Dion said.

"I also want to apologise to all my fans everywhere, for inconveniencing them, and I thank them so much for their love and support," she added.

Celine Dion took a hiatus from showbiz for two years from 2000 to 2002 to care for her husband.

Fans who already bought tickets to the Celine Dion concert will be eligible for refunds.
