Kay Cola’s New Single ‘Insomnia’ Will Hit You Like a Drug, But Won’t Let You Sleep [VIDEO]

Kay Cola just dropped her new music video for the song "Insomnia" and the last thing I want to do is sleep.

Insomnia is the first single off of the upcoming EP "Rem: The Prequel."  Kay Cola calls herself Lucid Dreamer on her Twitter page and her new song sounds like it can induce deep REM. Not that it is boring, no, you can barely keep for feet still with that beat, but it gets into your head and gets you subliminally hooked. The song is about finding a drug that will knock you out and you find that it's the song you're addicted to.

"Insomnia was  produced by Grammy award winning producer Al Shux, who worked with Jay-Z, Alicia Keyes, Lana Del Rey and Nas. The video for Insomnia was directed and shot by Denzel Williams of Taj Stansberry's TPK. Williams has helmed music videos for Rihanna, J Lo, Usher, Ne-Yo and John Legend.

Kay Cola will release a new album called "Nightmares and Lucid Dreams" this fall.

Kay Cola is a good friend to KpopStarz and we've profiled her before about her own love of K-Pop.

Cola is a Grammy nominated songwriter, and the daughter of world renowned jazz & classical musician, Hubert Laws. Check out more about this exciting singer-songwriter at her official website https://kaycola.com/. I promise you won't sleep.
