Frozen’s Anna And Elsa To Be Defeated By Disney’s Upcoming Princess Moana? Film Confirmed To Have Tropical Theme!

While "Frozen's" Anna and Elsa proved to be successful, Disney would soon welcome a new princess. As opposed to the chilly environment the Nordic princesses witnessed, Princess Moana Waialiki is a Polynesian royal whose film will have a tropical ocean adventure theme.

The film will revolve around the things which took place 2,000 years ago. Princess Moana is described as a girl, who despite her upbringing, can explore the ocean on her own. She is the only daughter of a chief who comes from a family of navigators.

They will go on a marine adventure with the help of demigods and spirits known in Polynesian culture. Although unconfirmed, experts of the culture speculate that Moana will summon the help of fire god Lono-makua, water spirit Namaka, and volcano goddess Pele.

According to Disney, the film is a "mythic adventure set across a series of islands set across the South Pacific." With this, fans are wondering whether creatures from Ariel's world will also be featured in the upcoming flick. After all, "Moana" will be directed by Ron Clements and John Musker who also worked on "The Little Mermaid."

"We both are fans of music and I think that animation and music go along together," also said Musker.

Furthermore, some Disney aficionados are thinking if the characters in the film will also sing just like "Frozen's" Anna and Elsa. Indiewire reports that the film will be a "Polynesian musica;."

"Moana" is expected to come out in 2018. The film is also believed to be one of the promotional strategies of Disney for its Hawaiian-themed resort Aulani in Ko Olina.
