SHINee Taemin Tops China Iqiyi Chart With 'Danger' MV

Idol group SHINee's Taemin is flying solo.

The idol member's single "Danger," from his first solo album "ACE," has topped China's Igiyi MV weekly chart.

The music video for the chart, which topped the "Korea" category of the music chart, was a mix of only Taemin's best qualities while the artist had the chance to shed his boy-next-door image for a moment. The dance moves for his title song was created by a famous hip-hop choreographer from the States.

Taemin reportedly flew over to L.A. in order to learn from the choreographers and dance teams in order to upgrade the quality of his performance, which was already fine-tuned thanks to his days performing with the other members of SHINee.

The youngest member of popular K-pop group is currently working on promoting his first mini-album. The singer recently posed for the cover of the magazine "Dazed and Confused," once again, shedding the "cute and loveable" image that he adopted within the K-pop group.

Along with the new material that Taemin has released, the K-pop star mentioned that he has a separate plan in mind for his solo career.

"I want fans to see me as an artist outside of SHINee, primarily because that's 'young' image is what everyone is so used to and I have more to offer," stated the singer during his interview backstage before his performance for the Korean music program "Music Bank."

Taemin has been in the K-pop industry for six years now and has only recently been able to get his name out into the K-pop industry as a solo artist.

While backstage at his official performance on a Korean music program, Taemin was able to get advice from K-pop sensation SECRET.

The girl group told the new solo artist to "give it his all" and to "work on developing a new concept because that's what we all want to see most."
