WINNER Dishes Details Of Their Very Personal Debut Album, 'We Became Stronger'

It's somehow not enough to just call them an 'idol group'. The 5-member new boy group Winner filled their debut album with songs that the members wrote themselves. From ballad to hip hop, it's hard to believe that this album was made by a debut group.

In a recent interview with OSEN, Winner talked honestly about themselves.

Lee Seung Hoon: "Our debut album includes different experiences of the members. We became stronger through the things we experienced while preparing for this album."

Nam Tae Hyun: "It was so cool just by the fact that my song was in the album. I was so proud that my song was included in the first album we made officially as singers and it was very meaningful."

Winner has been dominating music charts as soon as their album was released. Their songs have been on the top, not only their title song but also other songs in their album. This indicates that the public seems to be more than satisfied with their album.

Kang Seung Yoon: "We did not expect this at all. Even until the moment our songs were released, we thought that we should to be thankful for making it into the chart but we were surprised and so thankful for the unexpected results. We're thankful to our fans because I think making ourselves known before our album came out helped. We really committed to trying harder now."

About their title song, Kang Seung Yoon said, "When we work on the music, we usually co-produce and every song has a main producer. The main producer usually respects the opinion of the member so there are never big conflicts. Honestly, we didn't have much time to be completely honest with each other but we got to talk a lot while working on our music and got to talk about honest feelings that we weren't able to share before."

He continued, "Personally, more than our song doing really well, I want to hear people say to me, 'Your song is so good' and 'Your song comforts me'. I hope our fans get comforted by our music."

Song Min Ho: "I'm similar to Seung Yoon. We worked so hard on this album that we want to receive good comments from people."

Kim Jin Woo: "I want the public to be excited whenever Winner comes out with a new song."
