Tasty Officially Breaks Into Chinese Music Industry With ‘Addiction’

The Tasty twins are the tastiest duo in the K-pop industry right now.

The boys made their official debut in the Chinese music industry with their showcase in Beijing on August 22.

The duo, which debuted in 2012, is currently promoting their Chinese debut album titled "Addiction," according to Korean publication Osen Entertainment.

"Tasty began getting attention from various Chinese media outlets before they even debuted," stated an associate from their management agency, Woolim Entertainment.

The associate added, "Chinese fans are taking note of the duo's impeccable performance skills. Daeryong and Soryong are fluent in Korean, Chinese and English so they're expected to dominate overseas."

Tasty's showcase was shown live on the Chinese music video-sharing site, yinyuetai (https://www.yinyuetai.com/), which is making the twins even more popular amongst their quickly growing fan base.

Soon after their successful showcase performance, Tasty made an appearance on the CCTV music program "Chinese Music Room."

The Korean-Chinese brothers of Tasty were popular long before they made their official debut.

"Tasty got quite a few offers from the Chinese entertainment industry when they were working as singer Park Jin Young's back up dancers before they officially debuted," stated the duo's management company.

Woolim Entertainment continued, "The duo has since prepared to debut in different parts of China as well Taiwan, Hong Kong and Thailand."

The Tasty twins were born and raised in China and stated that they had dreamed of being Korean idols at the young age of seven. The brothers passed the audition process for JYP Entertainment back in 2006.

After signing onto JYP, the twins were sent to the States where they perfected both their dancing and English skills over the course of three years, according to the Korean publication My Daily.

Daeryong and Soryong decided to leave JYP after five years of extensive training, choosing to sign with Woolim Entertainment soon afterwards.

"We passed the audition process for JYP easily so we thought everything would be easy too. But later on when other friends [trainees] joined in and debuted before us, we felt disappointed," stated Tasty during an interview with the media outlet Newsen.
