'Friday The 13th' 2015 Movie Gearing Up! Iconic Villain Jason Voorhees Not Coming Back? New Actors To Be Featured On The Sequel

Friday the 13th 2015 movie release date confirmed! Paramount has announced that the upcoming film will be released on November 13 next year according to Bloody Disgusting.

Brad Fuller, a producer of Platinum Dunes shares some details about the story of the planned subject.

"The story is the most important thing and the way you tell the story, to me, is secondary. We have some writers writing but, because we don't have a script that everyone has signed off on, I can't speak to how the story is meant to be told. All of those things have been considered. But no decisions have been made. We don't know what story is being told."

And when asked about how "Friday the 13th 2015 movie" will be filmed, whether it'll incorporate a found-footage style or converted to 3D the producer has this to say, "I can't make any determination about found footage or 3D until we have a story that we all agree on and that we all like."

Since the film is still in its early stages no title or cast has yet to be announced. However, rumor has it that original cast members of "Friday the 13th" movie would not be returning for the sequel.

Meanwhile, rumor has it that the infamous hockey slasher villain Jason Voorhees will not be included in the planned sequel.

During one of Fuller's interview earlier this year, he was misquoted when asked whether Derek Mears will reprise his role as Jason, the producer answered:

"I don't know because I don't know if we're going to have Jason. I don't know which Jason we're going to have. I can tell you this: I love Derek Mears; I love working with him, and he's a dream so we'd be lucky to have him."

Fuller clarified the issue when he talked to Movieweb saying:

"It was a misquote. I had just said 'I don't know who would play Jason Voorhees. Because I don't know what age he would be, or how we would use him. Are we clear about that? That was the original context of the question. 'Is Derek Mears going to be playing Jason?' I said, 'I don't know who the character is going to be, or at what point in his life we are going to be engaging in him with.' Somehow that became, 'He's not going to be in the movie.' But of course he's going to be in the movie!"

Jason will definitely back in the sequel, but who'll play the coveted role? Sound off in the comments section below Kpopstarz readers.
