2NE1-T-ARA-SISTAR, Reason as to Why They Had To Change?

Things have changed. Recently, groups such as SISTAR, 2NE1 and T-ARA have made their comebacks. These three groups have been known as the 'big 3'. However, they do not seem like who they are who they used to be.

Let's take a closer look as to why these groups have changed.

How Did They Change?

SISTAR, who had been showing off their sexy concept with their previous song, "Alone," has now comeback with their new song, "Loving U" which shows off a totally different look. In their song "Alone," the melody was sultry along with their dance moves. This new song is more upbeat and fun with lyrics that are about love. Unlike their other songs, this song shows a more mature side to their vocals.

T-ARA has recently comeback with their new song, "Day By Day." This song is their slowest tempo song that they've released. The flute melody at the beginning of the song is also quite interesting. This song is vert different from their other songs, "Roly-Poly" and "Cry Cry" which gave off more of an old vibe.

The most change was seen in the group 2NE1. Their new song, "I Love You" was produced by Teddy, former 1TYM member. This song mixes trot with electronic, creating a brand new sound. There has never been a song to mix electronic with a trot melody. During their world tour, they hope that this song will help their traditional Korean culture be known.

Fans Reactions To This Change?

All three of these teams have a huge fan base and have all ranked number 1 on music charts before. Their music videos have always had many hits on YouTube as well.

However, the internet users have a different opinion.

First, SISTAR was seen in a positive way. They liked that the song matched the season and that their vocals were great. T-ARA received good feedback as well saying that the song was fresh and that the concept and the vocals were good.

2NE1's feedback was half and half. Some thought that the song was something only 2NE1 could pull off. Others thought it was a bit awkward and not as great as they thought it would be.

Did They Have To Change?

These three groups have always ranked high on music charts and still are heating up the charts today. In particular, 2NE1 has been ranking number 1 with their new title song. Even with all of these high rankings, why is it that these groups had to change too?

It is important to step it up to another level. Although it is good for groups to find their own sense of syle, the fans are always going to want to see something different. One type of style will most likely get boring fast. It is important to always change the concept in order to keep the fans entertained.

An official stated, "A girl group's life span is the shortest because it is easy for them to become boring and out of sight. They must work harder than boy groups because they already have a lower fan base then them."

However, with change comes a risk. When choosing a new concept, a group should think if it is actually something that they can do or something that they cannot do. The fans will most likely appreciate the group if they upgrade their talent by changing it a little. They will most likely not support the group if they try to do something they know is not their style, but are just doing it just for a change.
