Wiz Khalifa's concert in Chula Vista, California is cancelled following an incident during his San Jose, California performance where a man was reportedly shot dead backstage.

Wiz Khalifa's concert was scheduled for August 23, but report has it that that the show's cancellation was announced via Twitter hours before it was about to start.

Live Nation, the operators of the venue where Wiz Khalifa's concert was held in San Jose, gave out a statement saying: "Due to an active investigation at the Shoreline Amphitheatre stemming from an incident after last night's performance, tonight's show in Chula Vista, Calif., has been cancelled and will not be rescheduled."

According to a report published on Billboard magazine, a man was shot multiple times resulting to his death on the San Jose leg of Wiz Khalifa's "Under The Influence Of Music" tour.

The 38-year-old man was reportedly gunned after 11:00 p.m., a few minutes after the concert ended. He was taken to a local hospital but did not survive.

Police are reportedly on the hunt for the suspect, who witnesses said used a black gun with a large clip, and are investigating the reason for the shooting.

They are also investigating how the assailant was able to bring in a gun to the venue. According to a statement to local news station KTVU, police spokesperson Shino Tanaka said "we don't know that. This is an ongoing investigation. We will definitely try to determine how the individual was able to bring a firearm into Shoreline."

Police are asking for help for any information that can lead to the suspect's arrest. Those who were present during the concert are reportedly asked to send in their video or photos of the shooting to police@mountainview.gov.
