Kim Hyun Joong's Agency Accuses Alleged Girlfriend Of Exaggerating The Truth

Since the police confirmed that Kim Hyun Joong's alleged girlfriend pressed charges against the SS501 leader, his talent agency responded with a new statement on August 23.

As previously reported, Joong's alleged girlfriend claimed she suffered injuries from multiple assaults between May and July, including a fractured rib. As a result, KeyEast Entertainment has released a new statement on the matter.

"After confirming [with Kim Hyun Joong], we found that it's true the two parties have known each other since 2012, but they didn't start dating until a few months ago," stated KeyEast Entertainment according to allkpop. "In the middle of their relationship, the two had an intense exchange of words. Though it's true that in their heightened emotional state things got physical, it's not true that there was continual physical assaults or that she's been battered and beaten over the past two months like what was reported."

"Their physical fight was a one-time occurrence and her fractured ribs didn't occur due to their recent argument. Her ribs were injured when they were playing around previously, and the next day, they met with acquaintances. As there didn't seem to be anything abnormal, her injury wasn't recognized. We're very disappointed about the one-sided reports from the accuser making headlines and that the truth is being exaggerated."

Reportedly, Kim Hyun Joong will continue to fulfill his scheduled commitments, but will comply with the police investigation as needed.

So far, reactions to the statement made by Kim Hyun Joong's agency have been mixed.

"I've watched so many dramas where they manipulate words and situations to make it easier on the star, so now I have trust issues with the Korean media when it comes to these scandals," commented jyyjc on allkpop.

"This is more of a he-said, she-said situation," wrote ohsoshay on August 24. "So until I get all the fact I'm not going to take either side because I don't know what to do believe right now."
