Jimmy Kimmel Pays Tribute To Robin Williams At 2014 Emmys With Rainbow Suspenders: ‘Late Night’ Host And Wife Leave New Baby At Home, Ride Subway To Awards Show

Jimmy Kimmel is bidding good riddance to LA traffic. The "Late Night" host and his wife Molly McNearney took the Los Angeles metro to the 2014 Primetime Emmys.

Posting a picture of the couple's unconventional adventure to the Nokia Theatre in Downtown LA, Kimmel revealed that he donned a pair of rainbow suspenders to honor late actor/comedian Robin Williams.

"Subway to #Emmys #Mork," wrote Kimmel on Instagram. The caption accompanied of picture of the TV host and his wife Molly dressed in their best for this year's Emmys.

The pair, who welcomed new daughter Jane on July 10, left their baby girl at home to catch the Metro Red Line.

Kimmel, whose late night show is nominated for Best Variety Series, posed next to his wife in front of a set of turnstiles. The couple flashed their metro cards, while Kimmel captioned the photo, "On our way to the #Emmys UNDERGROUND."

New mom Molly looked cheerful in her sequined beige gown with a plunging neckline.

In one photo, Kimmel peeled back his tuxedo vest to reveal his rainbow-colored suspenders, an accessory made famous by Robin Williams on the television series "Mork & Mindy."

Williams rose to fame in the late 1970s on the ABC show playing Mork, an alien who travelled from the planet Ork to Earth in an egg-shaped spaceship. Mork soon met Mindy McConnell, played by Pam Dawber, who became his roommate and the rest is television history.

The 66th Primetime Emmy's will reportedly honor the late actor during the In Memoriam segment of the show. Reuters reported that actor Billy Crystal will pay tribute to Williams.

Williams committed suicide on Aug. 11 at the age of 63.
