Despite their hectic filming schedules, "The Vampire Diaries" stars Paul Wesley and Phoebe Tonkin make it a point to share random moments of their romance on Instagram. On August 16, the 25-year-old beauty posted a selfie of her and Wesley with some food.

"Famers market," Tonkin captioned the photo. The two were similarly seen last July leaving a hotel. Daily Mail reports that the two appeared to be very protective of each other.

"The Vampire Diaries" stars Paul Wesley and Phobe Tonkin needed to temporarily separate as the Polish actor headed to Italy for the 2014 Venice Film Festival. His new film, "Before I Disappear," was the festival opener.

On August 27, the CW actor shared his excitement on Twitter: "Atl -> Venice Thrilled to be here! @B4IDisappear @dreamsick @FatimaPtacek."

In the film, Phoebe Tonkin's boyfriend plays the role of Gideon who is battling with drug addiction. He feels that life's complications are unbearable and as he decides to end his life, he receives a call from his estranged sister asking him to look after his niece for a few hours. What follows is a series of realizations.

Wesley will still return for "The Vampire Diaries" season 6 as Stefan Salvatore. In the upcoming season, Stefan will be helping Elena in dealing with the loss of Damon. However, previous spoilers hint that Stefan will no longer be pining for Elena.

He decides that he doesn't want to have any part. He's doing his thing and he's completely disinterested, he's apathetic, he's given up," previously shared Wesley to TV Fanatic.

"The Vampire Diaries" Season 6 will premiere on October 2.
