Stars Send Love To Joan Rivers Via Twitter. 'Fashion Police' Host In Medically Induced Coma After Cardiac Arrest

Joan Rivers may have had her share of feuds with fellow Hollywood celebs over the years, but it looks like the stars will rally around the acerbic 'Fashion Police' host  when the chips are down. The comedian has received an outpouring of love and support from A-listers via twitter, since landing in the hospital earlier this week following a cardiac arrest. Rivers is now in a medically induced coma, from which doctors are reportedly planning to wake her later this weekend.

Celebrities from every corner of the public sphere have tweeted their thoughts and prayers for the comedian. Modern Family's Jesse Tyler Ferguson wrote, "Sending all my love and support to my friend @Joan_Rivers right now." Live With Kelly And Michael host Kelly Ripa said she is "Praying for the great @Joan_Rivers she is one of the true loves of my life." Actor Zachary Quinto tweeted, "Sending so much love and healing energy to @Joan_Rivers!!! No one is ready to go on without you lady!!!"

Rivers was rushed to the hospital Thursday around 9:30 a.m. after she stopped breathing while undergoing throat surgery in an Upper East Side clinic. It was determined that the star had gone into cardiac arrest, and she was put into a medically induced coma that evening. She is now reportedly under 48-hour watch in the hospital's intensive care unit.

Rivers' daughter Melissa expressed her gratitude for everyone's kind words via her mother's Facebook page. The actress and producer wrote, "I want to thank everyone for the overwhelming love and support for my mother. She is resting comfortably and is with our family. We ask that you continue to keep her in your thoughts and prayers."
