Autumn Wonderland In Japan
In Japan, Hitachi Seaside Park is covered with large bushes that make the landscape look like a crimson sea when its colors change. That bush that grows in clusters is called Kochia. While they are a pretty shade of green for most of the year, they begin turning crimson red from late September to mid-October. After that, they shift through pinks and light browns before returning to green. The park also has a flower called Cosmos that blooms around the same time that Kochia turns red. Autumn season in Japan begins with the Autumnal Equinox, usually on September 22.
