TVXQ And Big Bang Competing In Japan This Winter?

TVXQ and Big Bang will be competing for the love of Japanese fans this winter.

Two of the most popular K-pop groups will each be launching their "Dome Tours" in Japan towards the end of the year and the beginning of 2015, according to the Korean publication Naver.

Both TVXQ and Big Bang made the announcements for their upcoming tour at the "a-nation" concert, which was held last weekend in Japan. The boy bands will reportedly be touring Tokyo, Nagoya, Hukuoka and Sapporo.

Big Bang is reportedly currently preparing for their highly anticipated comeback.

"It's been a while since Big bang released an album. I've been busy playing instead of working hard producing so we couldn't. I apologize. Anyway, I'll work hard producing and try my best, so that we can release an album this year," stated Big Bang leader G-Dragon during a recent YG Family concert, according to Allkpop.

Big Bang will be starting off their tour at Nagoya in November and will continue performing throughout December in the five different cities for a total of 11 concerts. The five-member group is setting the record as the first foreign group to hold a "Dome Tour" two years in a row.

TVXQ will begin their tour in February 2015 and will continue their tour until the end of March, performing at a total of 12 concerts. This will be the second time the duo will be launching a "Dome Tour."

Although TVXQ hasn't been able to hold a "Dome Tour" two years in a row, the duo won the title of being the first Korean artist to perform at all five cities and venues in 2013.

Even though TVXQ being cut down from a five-member group to a two-member team was met with hesitation and worry from fans, the duo has accomplished so much in the K-pop industry.

"At first, we wondered whether the two of us could sing some 30 songs in a solo concert, rather remarkably we have lived up to expectation. Opinion on this is definitely divided. Nonetheless, we hope that fans will see us as just TVXQ," member Yunho stated, according to the publication The Korea Times.
