Mary Elizabeth Winstead Quits The Internet: ‘Final Destination 3’ Actress And Husband Take Break From Twitter After Leaked Photos And Internet Backlash

It's been a tough day for several Hollywood actresses after an apparent iCloud hack led to personal nude photos of the big names being leaked onto the Internet. After speaking up about the invasion of her privacy, Mary Elizabeth Winstead has decided to take a break from the web.

The cause for Winstead's Internet break is not just the photo scandal but also the reaction from some cruel web users regarding the actress's comments about the incident.

Going on an internet break. Feel free to my @'s for a glimpse of what it's like to be a woman who speaks up about anything on twitter," wrote Winstead on her social media page.

The actress initially addressed the photo leak, which also affected Jennifer Lawrence and Ariana Grande, by slamming the unidentified hacker for the offense.

"Knowing those photos were deleted long ago, I can only imagine the creepy effort that went into this. Feeling for everyone who got hacked," wrote Winstead.

The star of "Final Destination 3" and "Scott Pilgrim vs. the World," even spoke out to the people who may potentially search for the stolen photos online.

"To those of you looking at photos I took with my husband years ago in the privacy of our home, hope you feel great about yourselves."

Although Winstead's Twitter page was filled with an overwhelming swarm of support from fans, some of whom accused the hack of committing a crime against the hacked female actors, several users couldn't help but post unsavory comments.

"Most people in the public eye ignore things they don't want ppl to be interested in," one Twitter user wrote. "Almost like you're enjoying the attention."

"Stop posing nude on camera, dummy," posted another. "Your husband not know what you look like nude? #LessonLearned."

"Great day for the block button!" concluded Winstead as a result of the backlash before signing off of Twitter.

The victim's husband, writer/director Riley Stearns, also reacted to the photo leak via Twitter, writing, "Not all men are creeps but almost all of the creeps are men."

Winstead's husband then chose to depart the world of social media as well, posting, "No more twitter for a while. See you in real life, friends!"
