Led Zeppelin Collaborates With Paul Smith; The Band's Cover Albums To Be Featured In A Scarf Collection By British Designer

A Led Zeppelin - Paul Smith collaboration has been forged as the legendary rock group collaborated with the British designer to develop a collection of scarves that take inspiration from the band's album covers.

The Led Zeppelin - Paul Smith collaboration is slated to be released in conjuction with the release of the band's release of the re-mastered versions of their albums.

The collection will reportedly include six limited-edition scarves which will be available to fans and collectors on October 23.

According to the Independent, Paul Smith created three original designs which were transferred onto the fabric using a photographic technique.

Two of the jacquard-woven scarves to be released reportedly contains the images of the band's two upcoming albums "Led Zeppelin IV" and "Houses of Holy." Meanwhile, a new design has also been created for the sixth scarf.

The Led Zeppelin and Paul Smith collection will be offered for a limited run, with only 50 pieces of each scarf design to be sold at Smith's official website PaulSmith.co.uk and his Covent Garden outlet in central London. Information regarding the prices of the scarves have not been revealed.

Smith had previously collaborated with another rock legend. In 2013, he worked with David Bowie for a limited edition set of printed t-shirts as part of the release of Bowie's "The Next Day" album.

The scarf collection will be released alongside the re-mastered versions of their fourth 1971 and 1973 albums (called "Led Zeppelin IV and "Houses of the Holy" respectively), which can be purchased separately as single albums, in a deluxe edition compilation and a super deluxe box set. The super deluxe box set will reportedly include CDs, LPs, digital versions of the albums and an 80-page photo book of never-before seen moments during the rock group's glory days.

The Led Zeppelin - Paul Smith collaboration appears to be a huge leap for the band who is known for not giving rights to their intellectual property easily. The group's music was only allowed to be streamed on Spotify last December.
