Tiger JK, Graces LA Times Front Page "I want to win a Grammy and say 'thank you' in Korean"

Rapper, Tiger JK, graces the front page of the LA Times.

On December 2, the LA Times displayed the headline, "Tiger JK, big in South Korea, aims to turn a U.S. audience on to his brand of rap", and the article reported on his birth, his music, and his career.

The LA Times reported on Tiger JK's childhood years in LA - when he settled the cultural differences amongst his black and white friends through rap - and the success he had after entering into Korea.

Also, it explained how Tiger JK is taking the lead in communications between Korean and American Hip-hop MCs and producers.

Moreover, the article drew attention by describing Tiger JK and wife, Mi-re Yoon, as the 'Korean Jay-Z,Beyonce couple.'

Through his interview with LA Times, Tiger JK openly revealed that his goal, "I want to win a Grammy and say 'thank you' in Korean."

LA Times stated that Asian-American rap trends, like Far East Movement and Black Eyed Peas are making a name for themselves. And it made the prospect that through the 'Jungle Concert', held in LA, Korean Hip-hip will be introduced to the entire United States.

CJ E&M, the planners of this concert say, "After raising the quality of development in this market, we can expect a real global effect only if we expand that influence. This event gave us an opportunity to confirm the potential of Korean Hip-hop. We will not hold back any support in order to turn that potential into results."

Meanwhile, on December 2, Tiger JK, Mi-re Yoon, Leessang, Jung-in, and BIZZY -who make up the artist group 'Jungle Entertainment' - completed a their 'M-Live by CJ Jungle Concert in LA' performance at L.A. Wiltern Theater.
