BoA Returns To Fans In Japan After Four And A Half Years

Korean pop superstar BoA is currently visiting fans in Japan for the first time in four and a half years.

The artist, who just came out with her new album "Who's Back?," recently performed at the NHK Hall in Tokyo, singing hits from her Korean, Japanese and English albums, according to the Korean publication Osen Entertainment.

BoA teased fans with a picture of her new album cover on her Instagram account on September 2, adding the caption, "'Who's Back?' is finally in my hands. Album will drop on the 3rd."

Now that the album is out and receiving the attention of fans and media outlets in both Korea and Japan, BoA has set to celebrate the release of her eighth Japanese album. The singer will now be heading to Nagoya, Osaka, Hukuoku, performing at venues in a total of four major cities in Japan.

During her recent concert in Tokyo, BoA performed her previous hits "ID; Peace B," "Only One," "VALENTI," "LISTEN TO MY HEART," "EAT YOU UP" and more with the help of a live band. The 27-year-old performed a total of 20 songs during her 2 hour 30 minute performance in Tokyo.

Local fans were seen singing along to BoA's oldest hits, showing their ongoing love and support for the legendary K-pop star.

"Who's Back?" has a total of 14 tracks, including the songs "Only One," "Fun," "First Time," "Call My Name" and more. BoA had previously released her single "Masayume Chasing" in Japan as well, ranking No. 8 on the Daily Singles Chart the day it dropped.

Despite her ongoing explosive success, BoA was bullied at school due to her early debut into the K-pop world and eventually dropped out, unable to graduate, according to Allkpop.

However, that didn't stop the star from receiving her education.

"BoA studied at an overseas school and passed the qualification exam for middle school within two weeks.  For high school, she passed the qualification exam within three months.  She prepared the groundwork that enabled her to promote after a quick education," explained her older brother Kwon Soon Hwon during an episode of the Korea talk show Good Morning
