Justin Bieber Arrest News [Update]: 'Baby' Singer's Charges Dropped From Limo Assault, Dangerous Driving Case Still Pending

Justin Bieber just got some good news regarding one of many cases in his long line of legal troubles. TMZ reports that Charges against the singer have been dropped in an assault case involving an attack on a limo driver several months ago. Prosecutors announced on Monday that they were withdrawing the case because the evidence is not strong enough. Bieber still has one case pending, regarding dangerous driving and assault charges stemming from an ATV accident with paparazzi that took place in Canada last week.

The limo assault case began with the investigation of one of Bieber’s entourage members, after an altercation took place in Toronto. Eventually, the cops’ findings led them directly to the singer, who originally did not show up for an interview, and was then arrested. At the time, witnesses named Bieber as the attacker. Prosecutors have now determined that it is not clear that he was the one who made contact with the driver, since there were five other people in the car.

Bieber could still end up behind bars very soon if it is determined that he violated the terms of his probation during the events that led up to his more recent arrest. At the time, it was reported that Bieber crashed his ATV into a minivan driven by paparazzi, instigating a physical altercation with one of the photographers. It appears the singer was angry that the van’s passengers were taking pictures of him and Selena Gomez, with whom he was riding on the ATV. After the incident, Bieber left the scene before police arrived, but reportedly turned himself in as soon as he found out they were looking for him. He was the only person at the scene charged with a crime.

Bieber is on two-years probation for misdemeanor vandalism, stemming from a case in which he egged a neighbor’s house earlier this year. After the latest arrest, the LA County Probation department announced they would launch an investigation. No word yet on the findings.
