Big Bang Seungri Involved In Car Accident, Alcohol Not A Factor

The Asiatoday reported that Big Bang member Seungri (real name Lee Seung Hyun) was in a car accident that injured 2 others around 3:30 a.m. Korean Time on Friday, September 12, 2014.

The online news site shared that Seungri was driving alone when he collided with a car in close proximity to his. This is the second car accident the idol has been in within the past year, and an additional shock to the Hallyu community after the accident with Ladies' Code.

According to the Korea Times US, Seungri crashed his Porsche into the rear end of a Mercedes-Benz, overturned, and then hit a guard rail in front of an apartment building in Dongbu Ichon-dong, a neighborhood in the Yongsan District of Seoul.

Korean news source m2.News1.kr shared information shortly after that the others injured were two middle-aged men. They were reportedly taken to the hospital to be treated for minor injuries sustained during the crash.

The Big Bang member did not require medical treatment, according to the Korea Times.

A YG Entertainment representative indicated alcohol was not a factor in the accident, as reported by The Epoch Times.  "Fortunately, Seungri was not injured. He was transferred to the hospital and after receiving a check up, he received a diagnosis that there were no problems with his body. It was not drunk driving," the rep said.

Police have not yet concluded their investigation of the accident.
