'Big Bang' Nominated for "Music Jacket Gallery 2012" Award in Japan!

K-Pop idol group Big Bang has been nominated for the best album jacket design in Japan.

Recently, the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ) unveiled the nominees for the "Music Jacket Gallery 2012 Award." The award will be given to the artist with the most number of votes from their fans.

The album jacket for Big Bang's limited edition CD is one of 15 nominees for the award. The Best of Big Bang album that was released in November of last year is competing against stars like Justin Bieber.

Big Bang's limited edition album jacket consists of numerous photos of each member and arranged on the jacket like a puzzle. The album The Best of Big Bang consists of songs like "Haru Haru", "Tonight", "Baby Baby", "Always", "My Heaven" and other songs that have been remade into Japanese versions.

The nominees for the "Japanese Music Jacket Award" were chosen from albums released from April of last year to March of this year. The winner will be awarded this coming October based on the results of votes made by fans. The "Japanese Music Jacket Award" was created last year in order to promote the culture of unique album jacket covers.

Meanwhile, Big Bang kicked off their world tour in March in Seoul and recently completed their tour in Japan. During the second half of 2012, Big Bang will continue their world tour in Asia, U.S. and Brazil.
