Girls’ Generation about to sell 1 million copies in Japan

In June, Girls’ Generation sold their repackaged ‘Girls’ Generation’ album and will be also sold in Japan on December 28. The album has sold about 85 thousand copies and with the album about to be sold in Japan, the future looks bright for the Girls’ Generation to sell over 1 million copies.

In the upcoming repackage album, there are new songs being released, such as ‘The Boys’, which was only performed in Korea, the Japanese version of ‘The Boys’ and ‘Time Machine’. Also 3 remix versions of previous songs will be in the repackaged album. In this album, a photobook and a DVD of Girls’ Generation will be added also.

On the other hand, Girl’s Generation will star in the 62nd annual NHK Kōhaku Uta Gassen on December 31st, which is a great honor for this Korean girl group. This festival is only for singers that affected Japan that year, which means Girls’ Generation made a big impact on our neighbor country.
