The Chinese version of the hit Korean variety show Running Man caused quite a bit of buzz over the weekend.

The cast of the Chinese version, Run! Brother, was spotted filming scenes in Myeongdong, Seoul, also known as the heart of Hallyu, according to the Korean publication Naver.

A lot of focus was on Chinese star Angela Baby, the only female cast member of the show, who was seen entertaining the crowd and holding up a Korean flag during the course of shooting for the show.

Run! Brother reportedly follows the format of the original and is co-produced by Zhejiang Satellite TV and South Korea's network SBS. The major staff members from the original Running Man is helping with the production of Run! Brother as well.

The members of the Chinese Running Man includes Deng Chao, Wang Ba O Chang, Wang Chu Lan, Chun Ga, Lee Chun, Jung Kai and Angela Baby. Chinese star Deng Chao is currently taking on the role of the host of the show, according to the Yahoo Entertainment Malaysia.

The Chinese version of Running Man was officially approved this summer and began filming in August. It will air for the first time in the country on October 10.

The original Running Man has become one of Korea's top variety programs, gaining immense popularity since airing in July 2010. The cast of the original version consists of a mix of popular comedians and musicians, including Yoo Jae-suk, Gary, Haha, Ji Suk-jin, Kim Jong-kook, Lee Kwang-soo and Song Ji-hyo.

The show has aired 212 episodes thus far and has won multiple awards at major awards ceremonies in Korea.

As the popularity of Running Man remains at an all-time high, the places the cast members visit on the show seem to be getting famous as well.  

"Nowadays, I feel that the places we go turns into landmarks. There's been a few times when that's happened; for example, I've heard that a museum we visited became famous after we visited it," explained producer of the show Cho Hyo Jin during an interview with the Korean publication Osen.
