Actor Lee Jun Ki might be showcasing his acting skills in China in the near future.

Lee has been getting requests to star in various movies and television projects in China as he's currently filming for the Korean series Chosun Gunman, according to the Korean publication Naver.

After he wraps up filming for his current project, Lee Jun Ki will reportedly be reading various scripts to prepare for a debut in the Chinese acting industry.

"He's gotten requests to star in action movies, romantic comedies, melodramas and more. Currently, he's decided to look into the offers of more than five projects and is still getting requests from various productions," stated an associate for the actor's agency, Namoo Actors.

The rep added, "Lee Jun Ki is just thankful for the positive attention he's been receiving."

Lee Jun Ki is already creating a fan base in China as Chosun Gunman has begun streaming on the Chinese video site, QQ.

Lee made his acting debut in the Korean entertainment industry back in 2001 and rose to fame for his pretty-boy looks. He gained mainstream fame and was recognized for his impeccable acting skills with his role in the hit movie The Kind and the Clown.

Aside from China, Lee has also become incredibly popular amongst audiences in Japan and was invited to the 19th Tokyo international Film Festival in 2007.

The 32-year-old actor enlisted in the army to serve his mandatory military service on May 2010 and made his return to the entertainment industry with his first historical drama Arang and the Magistrate.

After his role in the 2012 series, Lee has been able to snag roles in various period pieces. For his current role on Chosun Gunman, Lee Jun Ki has reunited with actress Nam Sang-mi as the two have been traveling extensively for the filming of the series, according to The Chosun Ilbo.

"I feel like I'm traveling with my friends and the spectacular scenery has an instant healing effect," stated Lee.
