According to new reports, Tom Hardy married Charlotte Riley in July in the south of France, in a very low-key ceremony.

A source close to the couple reportedly told The Sun UK that "it was a beautiful, low-key day made even more special because they just had their closest friends and family around them."

The ceremony, which was believed to have taken place in Chateau de Roussan on July 4, was very private and truly was a family affair, with both of their families bearing witness to the occasion. "Tom's son Louis played a key role during the ceremony and they made certain to pick a stunning and private setting," added the source.

"There was nothing flash about the wedding," the source continued. "They always said they wanted it to be about the two of them and their family rather than any grand gesture."

Hello magazine reported that Rachel Speed, who is Hardy's ex-girlfriend, was present when Tom Hardy married Charlotte Riley.

Hardy and Riley, who met each other on the set of the British TV adaptation of "Wuthering Heights" in 2009, have been the subject of wedding rumors prior to the one reported most recently.

Many of the rumors were made, in part, because of Hardy's knack for referring to then-fiancee Riley as his "wife." In an interview with Us Weekly in April, Hardy shared the dynamics of their relationship, sayiing: "Well my wife is an actor as well so she sort of gets it. Apart from that, I'm a pain in the ass really. You know what I mean? Like any other boyfriend. Isn't that part of being in a relationship?"

While there had been no confirmation from their representatives to confirm whether or not Tom Hardy married Charlotte Riley in July, it sounds like the perfect celebrity destination wedding.
