Everyone knows that Chris Pratt is both hilarious and a heartthrob. But in new promos for the "Guardians of the Galaxy" hosting gig on the season premiere of "SNL," Pratt finds himself the object of Kate McKinnon's affection.

And it's hilarious.

Pratt will be hosting the 40^th anniversary season premiere of "Saturday Night Live" on Sept. 27. And in preparation for the big job, series regular McKinnon decided she'd use the promos to share a few words of advice with the actor.

"Just show them your abs," instructs McKinnon, gesturing for Pratt to lift up his shirt.

"That's why you're here," she continues as Pratt squirms uncomfortably. After a little struggle, the actor gives McKinnon what she wants, granting her a glimpse of his stomach. McKinnon proceeds to erupt in delight.

Pratt is a natural choice to open season 40 of the show, due to the widespread popularity of "Guardians of the Galaxy" this summer.

Despite showing off his impressive dramatic acting chops in films like "Zero Dark Thirty" and "Moneyball," Pratt is known for his comedic skills. The "Parks and Recreation" star should bring tons of laughs to SNL's kick-off episode, especially if these promos are any indication.

In addition to Pratt as host, Ariana Grande will be performing on the episode.

Sarah Silverman is on deck to host on Oct. 4^th. The comedienne wrote and performed for "SNL" during its 1993-1994 season. Maroon 5 will be performing.

Also gearing up to host this fall is SNL vet Bill Hader along with musical guest Hozier. Hader performed on the NBC sketch comedy show for eight seasons. Let's hope he brings "Stefon" with him!

Another feature of the upcoming season will be the addition of former cast member Darrell Hammond as the new announcer. He will be replacing longtime announcer Don Pardo who passed away in April at age 96.
