‘Frozen’ Gets Slammed By $250 Million Lawsuit From Woman Who Claims Disney Stole Her Real Life Story

Someone's not letting it go.

A Peruvian author named Isabella Tanikumi has reportedly filed a $250 million lawsuit against Disney after claiming that the studio stole the story for their mega-successful film "Frozen" from her real life story.

While Disney has stated that "Frozen" is based on the Hans Christian Anderson fairytale, "The Snow Queen," Tanikumi, who also goes by the name L. Amy Gonzalez, alleges that the film plagiarized her autobiography "Yearnings of the Heart."

2013 film "Frozen" is about gutsy princess Anna who tracks down her older sister Elsa after she accidentally unleashes her secret freezing power and traps the kingdom in an eternal winter. Along the way, Anna meets woodsy ice vendor Kristoff, his reindeer Sven, and adorable snowman Olaf who possesses an odd fascination with warmth.

According to Amazon, Tanikumi's "Yearnings of the Heart" is described as a "compelling, introspective account of the life of Isabella Tanikumi, who takes her readers on a journey through various phases of her remarkable life - from her family's survival during the devastating earthquake of 1970 in Huaraz, Peru, to the trials of overcoming heartbreaks of her youth. Conquering personal insecurities led to exploring the reaches of her intellect while facing the tragic, and untimely death of her beloved sister Laura."

Could the two stories have enough in common for validate the Peruvian author's claim?

E! News reports that Tanikumi's lawsuit references eighteen specific parallels between her book and "Frozen," including everything from characters to the relationship between sisters Elsa and Anna.

According to the website, Tanikumi's attorney, William T. Anastasio commented on the lawsuit, saying, "In response to your query regarding Isabella Tanikumi's claim against Disney, she has requested that I email you the attached Complaint which was filed this past Monday in the Federal District Court. Ms. Tanikumi is a very private individual and does not wish to be interviewed at this time. As the case moves through the Courts I am sure more information will become available concerning her claims."

"Frozen" grossed a record $1.2 billion at the global box office.
