The 'T-ARA situation' has been heating up the internet after Hwayoung's withdrawal from the group. Many wonder if T-ARA will become the second Sharp, whose team disbanded after problems with the group members, or if they will be a second 2PM, who succeeded after Jay Park withdrew from the group.

Many fans have been posting on Twitter and online community boards to try and stop T-ARA from being 'the second Sharp'. The worst condition would be for T-ARA to disband as a group. As of now it seems very unlikely though. In 1998, co-ed group Sharp disbanded due to problems with group members.

In 2000, Sharp's girl members had problems with each other, causing a bad image for the group. There were also bullying rumors for their group as well. This incident has been brought back as it is very reminiscent of T-ARA's situation right now.

In the case of the group Sharp, the group itself took sides, making the situation worse. T-ARA on the other hand are all working together through this rough time.

Idol group 2PM's situation was the same as T-ARA's in that instead of disbanding the whole group, they only withdrew the member that was causing the problems. 2PM and T-ARA are also similar in that they both 'could not reveal the serious cause or truth of why they were withdrawn.'

In the case of 2PM, time was their medicine. After Jay Park's withdrawal, the group became one of the top idol groups.

T-ARA has announced that they will take some time off before coming back to the public.
