Controversy Separate, Popularity Separate, 'Female Singers have Become Stronger'

Out of male and female scandals, females seem to be the most fatal?

Regardless of the scandal that is sweeping the country of Korea, their songs still seem to be in the top 10 on music charts.

T-ARA's new song, "Day By Day," which was released on July 3, is currently ranking number 8 on Melon and Mnet Charts. They are a lithe behind SISTAR and 2NE1, but considering the issue going on right now, their ranking does not seem bad at all.

With the withdrawal of Hwayoung, an anti-fan cafe called 'T-JinYo' was created with over 30,000 members in just 3 days. Another group, Davichi, who is a part of Core Contents Media, have not been affected by this.

Davichi has been ranking number 2 on the charts and even after the incident they are still maintaining second place.

The music industry is strangely enough still anticipating T-ARA's new song, "Sexy Love," that is set to release on July 14. Regardless of the issue, many are still curious to see what type of song they will be coming out with next.

Hwayoung commented to the media that through this issue she has been given a chance. She will begin pursuing her solo career with her own style of music. One official stated, "It seems that nowadays, female singers are more than capable of standing back up on their own after an issue like this."

It seems that in fact male scandals are more fatal. The public is usually more focused on girl groups, making competition harder for boy groups.

Another official commented, "Even with the same mistake, the girl group's will become a bigger issue, however, when comparing the time it takes them to recover, the girl group seems to get over it faster."
