Seungri Readmitted To Hospital With High Fever, Big Bang To Perform At Asian Games Closing Ceremony Without Him

Big Bang's Seungri has been readmitted to the hospital following reports that he fainted from an elevated fever. A representative for YG Entertainment provided confirmation to media outlets on September 30 that Seungri was in fact readmitted due to complications from a high fever.

Seungri's temperature had risen to 104 degrees Fahrenheit.

In a report from the Korean media outlet Newsen, the representative also stated that Seungri would not be present for the closing ceremony of the 2014 Incheon Asian Games.  As reported by eNews, a representative from YG Entertainment stated, "Seungri was hastily discharged from the hospital early on September 25 in order to prepare for the Incheon Asian Game's closing ceremony, as well as the police investigation."

On September 24, YG Entertainment revealed that Seungri had initially received care in the ICU (intensive care unit) prior to transitioning into the general ward for discharge.

Seungri was discharged from the hospital on September 25 following a two week stay for injuries he sustained during a motor vehicle accident on September 12.

While the accident remains under police investigation, YG Entertainment and police have ruled that drunk driving was not the cause.

Seungri's accident and subsequent attempts to return back to work have opened the dialogue regarding the schedules of K-Pop idols. Fans have expressed concern that Seungri may have attempted to return to work too quickly after a major motor vehicle accident.

YG Entertainment admitted in their statement to Newsen that Seungri may have left the hospital too soon. In the statement the representative said, "We think that getting discharged from the hospital prematurely has caused this problem. He will be receiving treatment at the hospital and watch his condition."
