Kim Jaejoong of the K-Pop idol group JYJ revealed his secret to beating the unbearable heat.

On Tuesday, the cast and crew of the MBC weekend drama "Time Slip Dr. Jin" began to film outside in the 96.8 degree weather. Under the scorching sun, the actors were to film a battle scene while wearing thick and heavy knee guards, body guards, and arm guards.

A member of the production crew revealed, "Since Kim Kyung Tak (Kim Jaejoong) is an officer, he has a lot of scenes to rehearse with the other actors for the action scenes. It takes a very long time to film one action scene because it needs to be filmed from many different angles. It's difficult to just be outside in this kind of weather but the actors are getting the scenes done without even taking a break."

Also, a representative of C-Jes Entertainment that manages Kim Jaejoong stated, "Kim Jaejoong is filming the drama wearing layers and layers of armor in this unbelievably hot summer. An icebox in the car is a must and he is carrying around ice packs to cool down as well as a miniature fan, but everything is just temporary."

Kim Jaejoong stated, "My body gets soaked from sweat after just one swing with my sword but in a way I think it's actually helping the scene to come alive. Each battle scene is a crucial factor in delivering the portrayal of Kim Kyung Tak's character. When I focus only on acting, I can forget about the heat."

Meanwhile, the MBC weekend drama "Time Slip Dr. Jin" has only five episodes remaining.
